OK....here is the tag: The tag says to grab the closest book, turn to page 123 and find the fifth sentence then write the next three lines.
No surprise, the nearest book was, The Labrador Retriever Handbook, and here are my three lines.
" If you can't find people interested in buying a Lab puppy from you once the pups are born, you should hold off breeding your dog until you have rounded up enough customers. Once you find prospective buyers, screen them carefully so you are certain they will provide your pups with a good home. Ask each buyer the following questions: 1) Do you own or rent your home?...."
Wow, I'm sure that was exciting for all you non-obsessed dog people.
I tag Ashlee, Taniel, Molly, and Jessica. Read us a book girls :)

Please help me find Sister Solosabals kids.
I have to share this cute little story with you. So you probably know that we've been trying to have a baby for about five years now. No big deal, it's all in the Lords time (or at least that's what I tell myself.)
Anyway, some of our friends from the ward came over a couple of Sundays ago. They wanted their little three year old daughter, Zoe, to see them. Zoe doesn't really know us that well, she just knows that Jim makes faces at her during sacrament meeting. They had been here for about a half hour and we were all just visiting. She and her mother, and I were in the kitchen and had the following conversation:
Zoe: Where's your kids?
Me: I don't have any kids yet.
Zoe: (With a scrunched up face of confusion) But, where's your kids?
Me: I don't have any yet.
Zoe: But why?
Me: Oh, I guess cause Heavenly Father didn't send them to me yet?
Zoe: Why not?
Me: Good question! I guess we're not ready for them yet.
Zoe: Oh.
Me: (Thinking of all the stories about little kids talking to unseen beings......possibly other little kids still on the other side) Maybe you could find them and tell them to come down to me.
Zoe: OK.
I didn't really think anything else about it. Just thought that it was a cute little conversation with a three year old.
About a week later:
Zoe's mom: Katie, I have to tell you the cutest thing. Every night since we came to your house, Zoe says in her prayers "Please help me find Sister Solosabals kids." (She and I get a little teary eyed!)
Me: Oh, how sweet. Maybe that's what we needed.
Zoe's mom: And then the next thing she says is" and please let me get one of those cute puppies" (Her parents won't let her have one, they already have a dog)
So we cried a little, and then we laughed. As the days have passed since she told me that story, I've been thinking that maybe I just need a whole bunch of little kids looking for my kids and telling them to get down here.....one at a time of course.....so, if you have little kids, ask them to start praying they will find Sister Solosabals kids ;)

And then there were two...
We're down to only two puppies. I'm not sure if I'm sad or glad.....I think glad, now I just want them all to be gone.
We spent last Saturday delivering and then trying to sell the remaining puppies. After we delivered the pre-sold dogs, there were only three left. We spent what seemed like hours sitting on the tailgate at various sporting goods stores to try and sell the little guys. We got the last male sold, and are left with the two black females. They are very cute, I don't know why someone didn't buy them!! :) What we found is that everyone just wants to hold a puppy, not buy a puppy. I guess we'll give it a try again this Saturday.
If you know anyone interested in a puppy, tell them to give us a call! I'm willing to make them a sweet deal!

Puppies in MOTION!
Here is my first attempt at adding a video. Hope it works ok.
I thought it might be fun to actually see the little guys moving around, insteady of just motionless. However, there is no sound, so you just have to use your imagination. Once again, I have to stay that puppies are hard to get to behave for the camera.
Hope you enjoy :)

Shout out to the Escalante High School State Champion Boys Basketball Team!!

OK, so it's been how many years since I graduated from high school?? Something like 13. But anyway, I still get excited when they make the big news. They just won the Utah 1A Boys Basketball State Championship!! This is only the second time they have done that, the first was just 3 years ago. Whey couldn't they have done that when I was a cheerleader??
What's even better is how excited my dad gets about it :) Keep in mind that he an EHS alumni...well sort of, he actually graduated from Cedar City High School, but I think he claims EhS. When they won it the first time, he was the young mens president for some of the boys on the team, and I think he was more excited about it than they were. He called me from the middle of court amidst all the screaming fans. It was big time happenings for the little old town of Escalante, let me tell you! Well, he wasn't quite as excited this time, maybe just because he wasn't there....they're on a mission..... but he still called and told me about it. Thanks Dad!
I'm not exactly sure who the boys in the picture are, but I THINK that the one in the middle is my best friend from high school, Jamie (Griffin) Lyman, little brother Brace.
Congratulation Boys! You make us old timers proud!

TAG!
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Hmm, I think it's almost seven years. We were togethe...then broke up...then got back together again....then got married!
2. Who eats more?
He does, but I can usally hang right with him. I am not proud of that fact. I always make sure he has at least one more bite than me, then I can say that he ate more.
3. Who said I love you first?
I don't remember, I'm sure it was probably him.
4. Who is taller?
Jim is, but just barely. He thinks he's a lot taller than he is. I'm 5'8" and he's 5'10" on a good day.
5. Who sings better?
I think I probably do, but only because I've had more experience. The only singing he's ever done is at church and in the car.
6.Who does laundry?
We both do. I am very blessed with a husband that doesn't hesitate to help around the house. I am VERY GRATEFUL for that!
7. Who does dishes?
Same answer as #6.
8.Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Looking at the bed, Jim is on the right side. We never change, it really messes me up to sleep on the other side :)
9. Who pay's the bills?
I always have and probably always will. But he always wants to know our "financial situation."
10. Who mows the lawn?
I don't have a problem doing it, but Jim is very particular about it.....you have to go all the way around the outside four times, and then you change to diagonal stripes, etc. So when I do it, I don't do it right, and it greatly upsets him!
11. Who cooks dinner?
Same answer as #6. Once again, he's awesome. I think he's probably a better cook than I am.
12.Who drives when you are together?
Jim always does. Since we've been married, I get very sleepy in cars :) and can take naps no problem!!
13. Who is stubborn?
He, he. We both are VERY stubborn!! It makes for some hard times once in awhile. We're working on it though!
14.Who is the first to admit they are wrong?
Me for sure!! It takes a lot for Jim to admit he is wrong! I will say that he is usually right though.
15.Who's parent's do you see the most?
His, since we live lots closer to them.
16. Who kissed who first?
Whew, bad memory. It was me that kissed him, and it was a total wreck. I thought he wanted to kiss me, but he wasn't even thinking about it. It turned out really bad.
17.Who proposed?
Nobody really. We had talked about it so much that once he got the ring, he just kind of gave it to me. No great story for us.
18.Who is more sensitive?
Me for sure. However, he's not afraid to cry and I appreciate that. There's just something wrong with people that don'g cry....Barrett Bishop :)
19.Who has more friends?
Me for sure. He could totally be without friends and not care.
20. Who has more siblings?
Jim does. He has 3 brothers and 6 sisters. I'm a close second though.....3 brothers and 5 sisters.
21. Who wears the pants?
He does.....it's just easier that way, if you know what i mean. Unless I feel VERY strongly about something.
I tag DeEtte, RaeJean, AubRee, and Lindsay (did I spell that right??)
