I have to share this cute little story with you. So you probably know that we've been trying to have a baby for about five years now. No big deal, it's all in the Lords time (or at least that's what I tell myself.)
Anyway, some of our friends from the ward came over a couple of Sundays ago. They wanted their little three year old daughter, Zoe, to see them. Zoe doesn't really know us that well, she just knows that Jim makes faces at her during sacrament meeting. They had been here for about a half hour and we were all just visiting. She and her mother, and I were in the kitchen and had the following conversation:
Zoe: Where's your kids?
Me: I don't have any kids yet.
Zoe: (With a scrunched up face of confusion) But, where's your kids?
Me: I don't have any yet.
Zoe: But why?
Me: Oh, I guess cause Heavenly Father didn't send them to me yet?
Zoe: Why not?
Me: Good question! I guess we're not ready for them yet.
Zoe: Oh.
Me: (Thinking of all the stories about little kids talking to unseen beings......possibly other little kids still on the other side) Maybe you could find them and tell them to come down to me.
Zoe: OK.
I didn't really think anything else about it. Just thought that it was a cute little conversation with a three year old.
About a week later:
Zoe's mom: Katie, I have to tell you the cutest thing. Every night since we came to your house, Zoe says in her prayers "Please help me find Sister Solosabals kids." (She and I get a little teary eyed!)
Me: Oh, how sweet. Maybe that's what we needed.
Zoe's mom: And then the next thing she says is" and please let me get one of those cute puppies" (Her parents won't let her have one, they already have a dog)
So we cried a little, and then we laughed. As the days have passed since she told me that story, I've been thinking that maybe I just need a whole bunch of little kids looking for my kids and telling them to get down here.....one at a time of course.....so, if you have little kids, ask them to start praying they will find Sister Solosabals kids ;)

Oh my goodness!! That was the most precious story that I have ever read! I'm pretty sure I teared up! We all pray for you! Your so strong!
I just got home from enrichment and was so grateful to find my children in bed, asleep. Now I get on your blog and read this story and want nothing more than to go and wake all of them up and ask them to start looking...I love you, Katie. Don't give up (I know you won't!) And I won't either.
That is the sweetest story. I'm sure you are waiting for some of the most precious and wonderful children up there!
I'll ask Amy and Jesse to start looking...maybe they can put in a good word and tell them to hurry up! I love you Kate, and want you to be a mother so bad. You are so great with kids and your hubby! And if you can handle the hubby/daddy...then kids are easy! lol. Hang in there! We will all definately pray for you now!
OK, that was sweet! Wouldn't it be nice if thst was all that was needed, sweet little kid-os praying for other sweet little
kid-os? I had read that to Colby and Russell and I have to say the tears are running down my cheeks, no big surprise there! Hang it there sister, good things cDome to those who wait. Love you,DeEttie
I am sure Jackson would be more than happy to include that in his prayers. Although he may refer to you as Aunt Katie with the puppy's but I'm sure Heavenly Father will know just who he is talking about. It really is in the Lords hands. Trust Me I know!
